Exploring Our Faith Journeys ChristCare Group

Join our new small group community as we continue the journey of faith in our lives. We will become a Circle of Care for one another as we explore expressions of our faith through prayer and worship, study of God's Word, focused conversations, and service to others

Friars Village ChristCare Group

We want to unite First Church families living in Friars Village area of Mission Valley and also to include our neighbors and friends. We want to open our home in a circle of care with Christ as the center and to form a sharing and caring group of neighbors in our community.
Meets: 2nd & 4th Tuesdays, 6-7:30 p.m.

In God We Trust ChristCare Group

Women's group to share in loving Christian fellowship, prayer, bible study and spiritual growth. We will explore our experiences, strengths, and hopes as we search our hearts to find trust in God. Our mission project will reflect that trust and be chosen by the group.

Worship Environment ChristCare Group

Our mission is to design and implement special effects that enhance the worship theme for special Sundays. Meetings times will depend on the liturgical calendar and requests from the clergy for special themes. We review worship services’ scriptures and connect with one another sharing our talents and care.
Meets: 2nd Saturday from 3-5 p.m.

Daytime Bible ChristCare Group

Our group has an emphasis on scripture. We also check in with one another, pray and worship together, and join in a group-selected mission project. But the main focus is to grow in the Word as we apply it to our lives.
Meets: Every other Tues. 10:30 - 12:30 p.m.

Scripps Ranch / Rancho Peñasquitos Neighborhood ChristCare Group

Our group examines current issues through the lens of Christ using a variety of media - from books, audio/video, web-based, and traditional printed study materials. We provide a means of community building, scripture, worship and service, conveniently located in Scripps Ranch / Rancho Peñasquitos area.
Meeting time and location: 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the Month at 7:00 p.m.

Hospitality ChristCare Group

Our mission is to welcome strangers as if they are Christ in our midst. Our group activities help us to extend God's welcome to all who grace our doors and to invite others to share in the joy. We pray and care for one another, apply the Bible, and actively live as disciples.
Meets: the third Monday of the month, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., plus outreach after church services

FUMC ChristCare Facilitator Group

As facilitators, our mission is to lead and support our congregation’s ChristCare Group Ministry. Through this ChristCare group, with Christ at the center, we educate the congregation about this ministry and recruit and train new group leaders.
We help ChristCare groups grow. We coordinate continuing education and facilitate support, encouragement and accountability meetings (SEA groups).
We pray and worship, care for one another, apply the Bible to our lives and to the ministry. With Christ’s direction, we will bear much fruit for our congregation’s vision.
