All-Church (Intergenerational)
Fellowship Events
Totally Fun Advent Adventure
is the liturgical season of
Advent (the season starts four weeks before Christmas and ends at
Christmas). There is a focus on families with children, so there
are crafts and specific activities for all ages, plus a meal and
fellowship time.
Lent Event is the liturgical season of Lent (the season
begins six weeks before Easter and ends at Easter Sunday), and
focuses on the Christ event, with crafts and special activities
related to the season are provided for children and adults.
All-Church Picnic is a time when everyone in the church,
plus friends and relatives gather at a park or the beach in the
San Diego area, bring a dish to share and enjoy fun, food and
fellowship. There are special fun activities for children and
adults.
Ice Cream Social is during the summer months of either July
or August. Sponsored by the Faith in the Family Sunday School
Class it is a time for the people of First Church to engage in
fellowship and indulge themselves in a variety of ice cream
flavors. It is held on the patio of the Cove of the United
Methodist Center.
All-Church Family Camp is held at
Camp Cedar Glenn, a United Methodist Camp facility just outside
the small town of Julian, California. It is a weekend event with
group activities for all ages, including activities designed
especially for children. Meals are provided by the camp
facility, and participants stay in cabins. Contact

Special
Interest Fellowship Groups
Tierrasanta
Neighborhood Fellowship
Cluster has a get together every other month, with special events
interspersed. Ron and Sandy Price, Coordinators, 858-277-4296 or

All of Us, Plus Family Fellowship Group
is a
fellowship group made up of families with children ages six and under. They
have monthly activities for the entire family,
and three times a year they have a Parent's Night Out, with childcare at the
church for the children. Their mission is to nurture families through
fellowship, community and outreach. The coordinators are
Cheryl and Scott Mercer, (619) 656-0578 or

Active Families Camping Group
includes
everyone who enjoys camping, regardless of age. They have two camping trips,
spring and fall, at locations within an hour's drive of San Diego, CA. The
coordinators are Holly & Bill Watt, 619-229-1356 or
wattsupsd@cox.net.

Prayer
Ministry Fellowship Group
Prayers & Squares Prayer Quilt Ministry
is made up of a group of people who make lap size quilts for
individuals in special need of prayer. The quilt is presented to the
congregation during Sunday worship, Members of the congregation then tie
knots into the quilt, and as they do so, say a prayer for the person in
need. After the knots are tied and prayers offered, it is given to the
recipient.
