Director of Development

Rhona joined the First Church staff as part-time Director of Development in February 2006. Prior to that, she spent 25 years in fund raising at UCLA, UCSD, and the San Diego Natural History Museum.

Rhona has been a member of First Church since 1997. Before joining the staff, she served on numerous fund raising committees, helping fund ministries such as The Covenant Circle, the New Life Counseling Center, Capital Campaigns, and Current Support. As Director of Development, Rhona oversees the Endowment Development Committee, the Covenant Circle Planning Committee, the Heritage Editorial Board, the Development Committee, the Current Support Committee and she staffs the Foundation Board with First Church business manager, Tom Hamilton.

Rhona has a B.Sc. degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from San Diego State University.
