Wednesday Vespers Communion Service

5:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary

We offer a quiet contemplative service — a peaceful oasis in the midst of a busy week — every Wednesday evening. Meditative music begins at 5:15 by church organist, Robert Plimpton, on our magnificent pipe organ with occasional guest artists. The service of hymns, Scripture, prayer, and sung Communion liturgy is from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. We practice open communion; all are welcome. There is no sermon or offering. From time to time there is a special dimension to the service.

Healing Service: Every first Wednesday immediately following the regular Vespers Service.

Prayers for Peace: On the last Wednesday of each month, we lift special prayers for peace in the world through the lighting of candles by worshipers before Vespers and through our spoken prayers.

Child care is available for the Wednesday Vespers service from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.. Advanced reservations are required by noon on Tuesday. Please call the office at 619-297-4366 to make arrangements.
