The Way of Radical Compassion

Every Sunday, from 06/30/2019 to 08/04/2019, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Location: FUMC San Diego, 2111 Camino del Rio South, San Diego, CA US 92108

Room: Trotter Chapel

Jesus was a spiritual teacher. The spiritual path he taught, of radical compassion, was a means of transformation. It is a path that deepens one’s connection to a compassionate source, restores one to a humanity fully loved and alive, and increases one’s capacities to be an instrument of compassion towards others in the world.

  • Learn how to find freedom and inner peace from reactive emotions, negative self-talk and compulsive drives that consume our everyday lives.
  • Learn what compassion toward the enemy really looks like in a world of violence and how we can love those who have violated us without succumbing to further violation.
  • Learn how to forgive when you still feel angry and bitter or when they refuse to hold themselves accountable. And through all of this, learn to allow your heartbeat to pulse to the heartbeat of God.

Join this six-week class to learn practices that will enable you to practice radical compassion and deepen your connection with God and the world. Sunday evenings 6-9 PM in Trotter Chapel from June 30 through August 4. For questions or more information, please contact Pastor Melissa at
