The Summer Choirs

The Summer Choirs provide the anthems for all sanctuary worship services each Sunday during July and August. We sing all kinds of music from sacred traditional music by famous composers to music hot off the press.

The Tenor/Bass Summer Choir at First United Methodist Church of San Diego

We are sometimes accompanied by handbells, brass, percussion, flute and other instruments as well as piano and organ.

Read about our director, Stan Wicks, our accompanist, Robert Plimpton, our beautiful new Music Center and our fabulous pipe organ.

Before the first service we have coffee and donuts and then we warm up. Between services we have brunch — plus a lot of time for chatting with new and old friends.

Please join us for one month of great music, friendship, and a wonderful experience. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Music Center.

For more information, contact Stan Wicks, 619-297-4366, or swicks@fumcsd.org.
