As Director of Music Ministries and Principal Organist, Sarah Amos oversees First Church’s bustling music program and performs on the celebrated 107-rank Blackinton and Associates Organ. Prior to her position at First Church, Sarah served as Organist of San Dieguito United Methodist Church in Encinitas, CA (2019-2024) and Centralia United Methodist Church in Centralia, MO (2016-2019).

Sarah studied organ and piano performance at Western Michigan University and earned an MM in Collaborative Piano and MA in Musicology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. A highly sought-after musical collaborator, Sarah currently works for San Diego State University’s choral program as a studio faculty accompanist and previously served as the rehearsal pianist for La Jolla Symphony Chorus.
