Youth Summer Service Project 2025

Youth Students

This year, the First UMC of San Diego youth group is embarking on a 6-day service project with with the Sierra Service Project (SSP) here in San Diego!

The focus of our service and learning center around the intersection of immigration, wealth inequality, and the environment. We'll work with city governments, community organizations, and churches to organize our work near the international border of the US and Mexico.

Youth will stay away for 6 nights at FUMC National City while working on various service projects around the city during the day. This is an opportunity for our young people to learn more about the needs of those in our city. The trip is open to 6th-12th graders.

The estimated cost is $715 per person. But our upcoming Shrove Sunday Pancake Breakfast donations will go toward the trip, so the per person cost may be lower.

No youth will be turned away based on financial restrictions. We will work with you to secure scholarship funds!

Registration closes March 23 - so be sure to secure your spot today!
