Celebrate All Saints at First Church San Diego
09.22.24 | Articles, News
Join us at First United Methodist Church of San Diego for an exciting All Saints Weekend, designed to help you honor the saints of the past as well as remembering the saints who have touched your life. We'll be joined by visiting artist Gracie Morbitzer and her artwork. There will be opportunities throughout the weekend to participate in a silent auction to bring home one of pieces.
Gracie Morbitzer paints icons, portraits of saints. Typically icons portray everyone as old, white, expressionless, and hard to tell apart. She is re-imagining these extraordinary people as modern, everyday humans... because that is exactly what they were, and they remind us of ourselves. They show us that we can all be saints just like them. And Gracie is coming to share with us her talent, her love of the saints, and her faith.
