Racial Justice Sunday

    01.06.25 | Articles, News

The Sunday before Martin Luther King Jr. Day is designated as "Human Relations Day" within the United Methodist Church. Here at First United Methodist Church of San Diego, we’re marking the day with a special celebration honoring our 2024/25 Racial Justice Grantees, followed by a community gathering featuring the premier San Diego Black theatre, Common Ground Theatre.

Grab your family, neighbors, and friends and join us in gathering as a community to bring awareness to what we can do right here in San Diego to support Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of a beloved community: a community where everyone is cared for, absent of poverty, hunger, and hate.

Here's a timeline for the day. If you plan to join our community gathering, please be sure to sign up by January 16!
